Dave, it was great to meet you again – I had a proper chace to talk to you this time, too. I definitely think there is an untapped market for you with teenage girls – I’m currently in negotiations with Her Ladyship to retrieve my copy of Waldo. Joanna is dying to start wearing her t-shirt and we are going frame hunting at the weekend. I think the whole of Macclesfield will have heard of Waldo within a week or two (not bad, seeing as we don’t live there!)

I also had a great day and really enjoyed meeting all the Folksters. Let’s do it all again next year.

Swings and roundabouts, Dave, swings and roundabouts! I use as my benchmark my very worst fair ever, back in March, when I sold one item for a fiver, and that was it. Didn’t even cover the cost of the extortionately priced lunch they sold me there! Any fair I do that makes me more than that is a winner – so far they all have been since then – even the one when I sold nothing at all, but made £21 in raffle ticket sales!

My fair today was great, not the best one in terms of sales, but I made about the same as my last one, in Essex, and so I’m happy! I had a good time, chatted to some nice people, introduced some others to Folksy (a pair of Silver Surfers who make cards you’d never believe! I told them to leave eBay behind and come to Folksy!), and got a lot of work done – in short, a success!
